Land Update 12/28/07

Christmas is over, I'm back to work, and the land buying operation is back in gear again. We have a piece of land in mind and have been doing a lot of research. So far that includes:

• Title search for 20 years (full search will come with the title).
• County plat map
• Tree farming plan with the County ranger
• Topology mapping and Soil info from the County extension office.
• Distance drives to work and looking at traffic
• Research on local ordinances

Still out for review are some pretty important ones though.

• Cable company estimate to put in cable
• Copies of percolation test and official survey.

Assuming we can get the info back in the next couple days, we should be ready to put an offer down on it and move on to the construction list.

Current reading a number of things including seed catalogs, The Self-sufficient Life, and The Southern Living Garden Book.
